Extinction of Summer Event!
Learn to identify animals by their scat and use sweet treats to recreate critter scat. This program is for park visitors of all ages and is kid friendly.
Date: Wednesday, August 5th, 2026
Time: 9:00 am – 11:00 am
Location: Ice Age Fossils State Park - Check in with the front desk
Need to Know
• Minors under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
• The location of this event (indoors or outdoors) will be determined the morning of the event.
What to Expect
• Visitors will be using Tootsie Rolls to recreate the look of animal scat.
• To learn about a common form of animal sign – scat!
Fees & Registration
• The $3 per person (kids 12 and under are free) entry fee applies.
• There is no additional cost for this program.
• Drop in anytime between 9:00 am – 11:00 am. No registration required.
