Candlemaking at the Muswell Hill Creatives Make & Mend Festival
About this Event
Make a personalised scented candle for your home or to gift to a loved one in this fun and creative session led by candlemaker Jenny of Crouch End Candles.
You will start by learning about how our sense of smell works and how fragrance affects our mood and emotions. You will then learn about the different fragrance families and what ‘Top’, ‘Heart’ and ‘Base’ notes are.
You will have the opportunity to smell and test a selection of Crouch End Candles’ selected essential oils and blend your own signature scent, before being taken step-by-step through the candle making process. You will then make your own scented soy wax candle.
You’ll get to personalise your candle label with your name or the name of someone you would like to gift it to or for you to keep the candle for you at home.
The candle will be taken away to cure overnight before being collected or posted out to you.
Suitable for age 14 + (children must be supervised by parent/carer).
