This is a hands-on candle magic workshop exploring how intention, symbolism, and ritual craft come together to create a complete magical working.
We’ll begin by looking at the history of candle magic and the principle of sympathetic magic, how objects, colours, herbs, and symbols can be used to represent and support intention. From there, we’ll explore colour correspondences, herb associations, and how different elements are combined in practice to build meaning into ritual work.
You’ll be guided through the full process of creating your own ritual candle, including carving symbols or sigils into the wax, dressing your candle with herbs and writing a personal petition to accompany your intention.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with a fully created, dressed, and activated candle working that you’ve made yourself, along with a deeper understanding of how symbolic and intentional practice can be used in your own way.
This workshop is suitable for beginners as well as those already working with magical or spiritual practices, and is designed to be creative, accessible, and practical.
