Yoga is known to help people affected by cancer both mentally and physically. It can ease cancer-related fatigue, improve sleep, and help with recovery from surgery and reduce anxiety.This class blends gentle classic postures, deep stretching and calming breath work to help you feel more grounded and to work with improving your range of motion, increasing strength and managing the symptoms that cancer, or the treatment of, can cause. We will retreat to the café after the practice for tea and conversation together.
This is a safe space for anyone affected by cancer and a lovely opportunity to be part of a community, where experiences can be shared and you can take some control back into your life. The class is open to all levels of yoga practitioners and beginners are very welcome. To participate in this class you will however need to be reasonably mobile and all surgical incisions healed. A family member or friend involved in your care would be welcome too.
