About this Event

Speakers: Robin Perutz

Vibrant orchids, dragonflies and migratory birds thrive across the University of York’s Campus East, creating the perfect landscape for some wildlife spotting.

Join campus wildlife expert Robin Perutz for a guided walk through this special habitat and learn about the many species of flowers, birds and insects that call this site home.

Look out for campion and viper’s bugloss among the flowers, reed warblers and little grebes among the birds, and discover how careful campus design has enhanced biodiversity, wellbeing and research.

This event is open to individuals and families. However, please note that the uneven terrain makes the route inaccessible for wheelchairs.

Meet at the Ron Cooke Hub, Campus East.
