About this Event
Campaign Launch: BROKE BUT NOT BROKEN

Join us for the launch of our new campaign, BROKE BUT NOT BROKEN, on Wed Jul 12 2023 at 10:00 AM BST. This is an in-person event and the venue will be announced soon.

We're asking people who work in local authorities and voluntary organisations in Greater Manchester and beyond, and people with lived experience of the ten-year-route, to attend a mutual listening and learning event to launch our new North West campaign.

We believe that although people embedded in our communities are resilient, work hard and provide for their families and children, this hostile immigration route prevents many from being able to fully settle, contribute and flourish. So we want to find out what our local authorities are doing right and what they could do better to serve our community members.

What is the 10 year route? The ’10-year route to settlement’ is a pathway to indefinite leave to remain in the UK that requires people to continuously reapply for leave to remain in 2.5 year periods, paying thousands of pounds in fees. See our report with IPPR and Praxis to learn more about what this means.

At the launch event, you'll have the opportunity to hear from our Action Group and learn more about our campaign. We'll also have guest speakers who will share their personal stories and how their Local Authorities can help them.

Don't miss out on this inspiring event! RSVP now to secure your spot.

It's free to attend this event. Please only sign up if you are sure you can make it, so we have accurate numbers for catering.
