CONFIDENCE
Campers find their own unique voice and discover sound waves in action through reverse engineering, then market their extraordinary inventions with friends as creative entrepreneurs.
PERSISTENCE
In this high-energy adventure, kids build and test a launching device to overcome challenges while exploring fun physics concepts like trajectory and velocity.
CREATIVITY
Kids experiment with circuits and energy to create a robotic, solar-powered cricket inspired by biomimicry, then use empathy and creative problem solving to build fun-filled custom habitats.
PROBLEM-SOLVING
Children learn how to adapt as they design and prototype a nature-inspired morphing vehicle to submerge, soar or sprint in Super Road Rally!
For children entering grades K – 6

In partnership with the National Inventors Hall of Fame, The Knox School of Santa Barbara is pleased to offer the nationally-acclaimed Camp Invention program to children entering K through 6th grade. This exciting, weeklong summer adventure provides opportunities for open-ended exploration of science, technology, engineering and more! Children rotate through a variety of hands-on activities each day while collaborating with friends to think creatively and invent their own solutions to real-world challenges.
The Knox School faculty serve as camp staff, along with a dedicated and caring team of Knox Alumni CITs. We pride ourselves on taking excellent care of our campers and helping them reach their potential. In addition to all the activities and adventures of the day, our camp includes daily healthy snacks, as well as integrated physical education and playtime. Campers come home happy, tired, and eager for the next day of camp!
