Camp Hope has become a meaningful part of our community, a place where children can begin to understand and navigate their grief in a supportive, welcoming environment. This one-day bereavement camp is designed for children ages 6–12, helping them feel safe exploring their emotions while realizing they are not alone.Led by Brooke, our Children’s Bereavement Coordinator, the day is filled with engaging, age-appropriate activities like games, memory stones, and small group sessions. Through these experiences, children learn to recognize their grief, develop healthy coping skills, and identify trusted adults they can turn to for support.
Perhaps most impactful of all is the opportunity for children to connect with others who share similar experiences, creating a sense of understanding and healing that words alone cannot provide.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, Camp Hope is offered at no cost to children in our community who have experienced the loss of a parent, sibling, or grandparent.
