Camp Dyketopia: A Queer Comedy & Arts Experience!

Camp Dyketopia is a mini comedy & arts experience, created to spark queer joy through a day of performances by queer comedians, drag icons, musicians, and artists. Camp Dyketopia puts the camp in campy, bringing folks together for laughter and community, all on an intimate queer-owned farm.

The Details

• From 11 am - 4 pm, enjoy a laid back day full of friendship and fun, interspersed with live music, comedy, and campy activities
• From 4-6 pm, enjoy our Dyketopia comedy show featuring a very special headliner and guests, soon to be announced!
• Attendees must be 18+, no children please.

Getting To Camp

• Camp Dyketopia takes place at Ellson Farms in Littleton, Colorado, about a 30 minute drive from Downtown Denver. We highly encourage catching an Uber or Lyft with a friend, carpooling, or taking the light rail and catching an Uber from the nearest stop. We have reserved parking at Westridge Elementary School, a ten minute walk from the farm, and will be running a shuttle back and forth between the farm and the lot!
• Please bring blankets, chairs, and a cooler with drinks/snacks of your choice. We will have free water- remember to bring your bottle! Some limited seating will be available, but please bring your own camping chairs or blankets to set up a cozy space for yourself and friends!
• Prepare for lower temperatures as it may get cool in the evening! (and hey, who doesn't love a beanie and flannel moment)

A Note on Inclusion

• While the show is called Dyketopia, we celebrate and welcome people of all genders and sexual orientations. TERFs, please stay home.
• Absolutely no racist, transphobic, sexist, homophobic or ableist language will be tolerated.
• Straight and cisgender allies are welcome, but please know this event centers the queer and trans community, and for all attendees, respect and consent practices are required at all times.

Accessibility @ Camp Dyketopia

At Camp Dyketopia, we hope to include as many folks as possible in our outdoor event. Below are some details on accessibility:

• Being on a farm location, we unfortunately don’t have accessible parking, but we do have accessible drop off points at the start of the farm driveway.
• The farm driveway is about a 200 foot walk on a gravel road to reach the grassy knoll of the farm backyard. Some areas may be uneven.
• We will have porta-potties and hand washing stations on site, including an ADA accessible porta-potty.

About Dyketopia

Dyketopia is an unapologetically queer comedy duo made up of standup comedians and friends Lee Robinson and Kate McLachlan. Dyketopia originated as most great queer experiences do—DIY’d by Kate and Lee in a friend's sun-soaked backyard.

After years of swimming in the homogenous Denver comedy scene, Kate and Lee simply couldn’t handle another straight comedy show (or dick joke). They put their gay heads together and in the summer of 2021, created Dyketopia, a show that celebrates and centers the queer experience through outlandishly chaotic games, stand up comedians, drag performers, and a boatload of very gay prizes.

The show has grown in ways they could never imagine, selling out hundreds of tickets in minutes every month, landing them in the Colorado History Museum, and—most importantly—bringing hundreds of queer people together each month to laugh ‘til their stomachs hurt. One thing’s for sure: queer joy is both deeply needed and completely undeniable.
