About this Event

Camp Care Overview

Camp Care is a one-day event offering workshops, education, and spiritual care for caregivers, the grieving, and anyone wrestling with end-of-life questions. It's a space to learn, connect, and find hope together. Choose from three tracks and nine sessions total, designed to meet you wherever you are on the journey.

Caregiver Track

This track explores the real, day-to-day demands of caring for a loved one—and how to care for yourself while you're caring for others.

  • What Is Preplanning?, led by Krista Bekker, Managing Partner, Havenbrooke
  • Care for Caregivers, led by Nielah Blaylock, LPC
  • Dementia Care, led by James Krablin, MD

Faith & Aging Track

This track opens space for the spiritual questions that illness and aging bring to the surface.

  • Spiritual Distress and Health, led by Bri Demoss, Chaplain
  • Aging and Faith, led by Mike Demoss, Chaplain
  • Prayers for the Bedside, led by Richard Chew, Chaplain

Education Track

This track builds practical tools and a clearer understanding—covering emotional regulation skills, what hospice care and DNR orders actually mean, and how grief reshapes a person's sense of identity.

  • Building Emotional Regulation, led by Lee Sturtz, LPC
  • What Is Hospice?, led by Jennifer Richardson, Hospice Licensed Admin
  • Grief and Identity, led by Ashley Sticht, MSW, LCSW

Lunch will be provided for all attendees.
