CAMH Employment & Education Fair 2024

Welcome to the CAMH Employment & Education Fair 2024!

The CAMH Social Determinants of Health Service (SDHS) partners annually with Youth Employment Services (YES) and The Neighbourhood Group Community Services (TNGCS) to create a unique career fair dedicated to advancing opportunities in work and school.

Wherever you are at in your employment, career, or education/training path, the Fair offers resources that support your growth and meaningful participation.

The event will feature representatives from 20+ employment and education programs, all with commitments to mental health, neurodiversity and addictions inclusion. They will be available to engage with you about the following types of topics:

• pre-employment services

• post-secondary education and accessibility services

• navigating disclosure and accommodation

• recruitment practices of businesses

• resume and interview tips

• workplace attire supports (e.g. clothing booth)

• job development programs
• career mentorship initiatives

• consumer survivor social enterprises

• microfinance and lending programs for small business projects

• Better Jobs Ontario Programs

Attending the Fair could be a method for meeting hiring employers seeking applicants. Stay tuned for further details on this topic.

Admission is free of charge for all.

Registration is entirely optional. To register, complete the Eventbrite ticket order. Call 416.535.8501 x 32068 for support with Eventbrite or to register over phone. Walk-in attendees will be welcome on event day. Drop in at any point between 1:00PM & 3:00PM and stay for a few minutes or two hours.

Accessibility: The event will be in a fully accessible space with gender neutral washrooms (single room) and a low sensory area. A therapy dog will be present in a space nearby.

Location: The location is the 2nd Floor Auditorium of 1025 Queen St West: The street entrance from Queen St West to the1025 building is well-marked. You will find elevators just to the left, when you enter the 1025 building. Take the elevator to the 2nd floor. There is also staircase to the 2nd floor. The auditorium space can't be missed; signage and support staff will be present.
