A fun and unique intensive in which light and various physical items are used to create one of kind images.
About this Event

Cameraless Photography is the process of creating and image on light sensitive photo paper without the use of a camera. It exposes markings created by different types of resists through the use of photo chemicals. There are hard and soft resists, which create a variety of abstract shapes on the photo paper. Workshop participants will create images with soft resists based on various pantry items such as flour, honey, oil, butter, hot sauce, mustard, salt, toothpaste, shaving cream, spray cooking oil, etc. The list is endless!

Age / Skill Level:

Teens (15-19) and adults (20 and up). Suitable for beginners, practicing artists, and

educators.

Schedule:

Saturday October 19th: 12pm - 3pm

Materials (What to Bring):

Blotter book and/or blotter paper (something to place in-between your images as they are drying

Any pantry items you would like to experiment with!

About the Teaching Artist:

Angelika Rinnhofer has been an art educator for 16 years. Her interest in teaching photography was sparked when she taught a group of high school students how to use a darkroom. From 2006 until 2015, she taught photography, art history, and a variety of digital art forms in a boarding school in Westchester, NY. From 2016 until 2019, she taught art appreciation at Miami Dade College in Miami, FL. From 2019 until the present, she has been teaching photography and art appreciation at CNM. Additionally, she teaches photography online for Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester, NH.
