Camera and Lighting Workshop

Cameras need more light to produce a quality image than you might imagine and this workshop will introduce you the nuances of lighting and cameras so you can properly plan your next shoot.

This workshop will introduce students to professional lighting techniques and equipment specific to video and film production.

Led by DJ Dittenhoefer of Southcine Rentals and Jon Champion of Champion Lighting and Grip, we'll talk through camera and lighting setups followed by a Q&A. We'll also do some hands on lighting setups with camera.

• Lighting Vocabulary

• Differences between various cameras and how they capture and manipulate light
• Quality of light and creating depth
• Lighting for different styles and situations
• 3 point lighting with various lighting kits
