About this Event
What is Cambridge Is Chopped?
Cambridge Is Chopped is a movement focusing on improving the quality of life for Queer People Of Colour in Cambridge.
The aim is to amplify experiences of racism, hold spaces accountable for their complacency in addressing racism, and help create communities and events for QIPOC individuals and allies.
What will the Open Forum be about?
The Open Forum will include a presentation from Guillotina, followed by a community social.
The presentation will cover the movement’s origins, what was achieved during Stage 1, and the results of the testimony collection. The future direction of the movement will also be discussed.
The community social will be a relaxed opportunity for attendees to connect and discuss how they can support CIC and the QPOC community.
Is this event strictly for Queer People of Colour?
This event is open to everyone, regardless of race or sexuality. It focuses on how the wider community can support the QPOC community.
However, due to the subject matter that will be discussed, allies who wish to attend should remember that this event is intended to center and platform QPOC voices.
Be respectful. Be mindful. Be open to criticism.
