Commemorating the 100th anniversary of President Coolidge’s Summer White House, Dr. Kirschenbaum will use many historic photographs and images to tell the history of White Pine Camp and its unique architecture and noteworthy owners, while concentrating on the President’s ten-week residence in the Adirondacks, with many amusing and surprising anecdotes.
Howie Kirschenbaum has been a long-time leader in historic preservation in the Adirondacks, including being founder, president and current board member of Adirondack Architectural Heritage; owning, managing or preserving Great Camps Sagamore, Uncas, Santanoni, White Pine, and other historic properties; and author of books on Sagamore, Santanoni and White Pine Camp.
