Are you constantly second guessing yourself or putting yourself down? Do you find it difficult to treat yourself with the same love and kindness that you show to others? Learning to calm that critical voice in our head, and having a healthy relationship with ourselves, is crucial to living a happy life and being able to form healthy relationships with others.
Calming the Critic is an 8-week long self-compassion group for adults who find it difficult to show themselves love and kindness. This group teaches adults how to be mindful of their inner critic and practice self-love and acceptance to live a more fulfilling life.
This is a closed group that starts on October 4th, 2021 and is expected to end on November 22nd, 2021.
When: Mondays from 6pm-7:30pm
Where: Private room in SoZo Coffeehouse in Chandler
Facilitated by: Christina Kafalas, LCSW (founder of Compassion Corner Counseling)
You will learn:
- About what self-compassion is and why it’s important for your health
- How to identify barriers to self-compassion and overcome them
- How to practice mindfulness and relaxation techniques in order to self-soothe and attune to oneself
- How to be aware of negative thoughts and replace them with more positive and helpful thoughts
- How to overcome feelings of shame using self-compassion
- How to live a life filled with compassion
- And much more!
