Calming the Chaos: Supporting Women with ADHD
About this Event
IMPORTANT!! Please read the info in full as it contains all necessary information.
Calming the Chaos is a gentle wellbeing event for women with ADHD, designed to offer a calmer, more sensory-aware space to pause, reset, and reconnect.
Living with ADHD can often feel like navigating constant mental noise. This event brings together creative and body-based wellbeing practices that support calm, focus, and regulation in a way that feels approachable, grounding, and supportive.
What to expect:
Cross Stitch Workshop (12 pm to 2 pm)
Take part in a mindful cross stitch workshop and create a tactile sticker.
This calming, hands-on session is suitable for complete beginners as well as experienced stitchers. Repetitive craft activities such as stitching can feel grounding and may help support focus, ease stress, and create a sense of calm.
You’ll be guided step by step in a relaxed and welcoming environment, and all materials are provided.
Two ways to take part
In person : Join the workshop in person for guided instruction, group support, and a shared creative experience.
Online kit option: Choose the online option and receive a complete cross stitch kit, along with access to a detailed video tutorial so you can make your project at home in your own time.
Complementary soft tissue sessions (Booking slots vary)
Alongside the workshop, a limited number of gentle soft tissue sessions are available as a complementary wellbeing offering.
These sessions are designed to feel calm, slow, and settling. Using light to moderate pressure and techniques similar to myofascial release, they aim to create a soothing sensory experience. This is not deep tissue massage, and firm or painful pressure is not used.
To help keep the experience predictable and relaxing, the therapist follows one structured routine throughout the session.
Sessions focus on the back and shoulders, with the option to include arms or legs if requested before the session begins. Head, face, and feet are not included.
For safety, hygiene, and insurance compliance, only jojoba oil, grapeseed oil, or Songbird massage wax are used during the session.
You are also welcome to play your own relaxing playlist on a personal device if that helps you feel more comfortable.
Soft tissue booking information
Only 5 slots are available each month.
To book, select your preferred time slot from the soft tissue ticket options on this page. Once we receive your booking, we will be in touch within 2 days to let you know whether your place is confirmed.
Because we want as many people as possible to experience these sessions for the first time, we give priority to newcomers. If you have joined us for a soft tissue session before, your slot may not be confirmed this month — but if a space becomes available, we will always try to let you know, even if it is at short notice.
Please do not attend the soft tissue session until you have received your confirmation.
Once confirmed, you will receive a consent form and a health questionnaire to complete before you arrive.
Sessions run back to back, so arriving on time is really important. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, unfortunately the session cannot go ahead.
If you need to cancel after your place has been confirmed, please email us as soon as possible using the address in your confirmation letter — that way we can offer your space to someone else who is waiting.
We appreciate your understanding and it makes a real difference to others.
