About this Event
YOU SHOWED UP. THAT'S THE FIRST STEP.
You've been through something hard. Treatment may have taken things from you — muscle strength, joint flexibility, nerve sensation — and made the everyday things feel harder than they should.
This workshop is your turn to begin taking those things back.
ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
Calming the Cancer Storm is a 90 minute interactive workshop hosted by Booming Health — created specifically for breast cancer survivors who are managing the physical and emotional side effects of treatment, including:
✦ Muscle weakness and loss of strength
✦ Joint pain and stiffness
✦ Peripheral neuropathy (numbness or tingling)
✦ Fatigue and emotional exhaustion
✦ Anxiety, chemo brain, and nervous system dysregulation
and many more.
This is not a typical fitness class. This is a safe, gentle, and deeply empowering experience — led by a fellow breast cancer survivor who has walked this road with you.
WHAT YOU'LL EXPERIENCE
💪 STRENGTH
Learn how to rebuild functional strength so that you get back the ability to get off the couch, pick up a grandchild, and move through your day with confidence.
🌿 STRETCH
Surgery, radiation, and chemo fatigue can tighten and close our bodies. Learn how to gently open the chest and upper back — targeting post-mastectomy tension and supporting lymphatic flow.
🌬️ BREATHWORK
Evidence-based breathing techniques activates your vagus nerve — your body's built-in calm switch — to reduce anxiety, ease fatigue, and support emotional recovery. This is the tool for 3 a.m. nights and scan-result days.
YOU'LL LEAVE WITH
✅ A 10-minute daily home practice you can do in your pajamas before breakfast
✅ Three tools — movement, stretch, and breath — that work on your hardest days
✅ Science-backed knowledge about why movement heals
✅ Community with others who truly understand
WHO THIS IS FOR
This workshop is open to women breast cancer survivors who finished their treatment but still feeling the lingering side effects of the treatment. All fitness levels are warmly welcome. Chair-based modifications are available for every exercise. You do not need any equipment, or prior experience, but come comfortably dressed to move.
If you are a breast cancer survivor — this space was made for you.
ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR
This workshop is led by Coach Rachel, founder of Booming Health and a breast cancer survivor herself. Everything taught in this session has been personally practiced on her own body. She teaches from lived experience, evidence-based research, and a deep commitment to helping survivors reclaim their strength, their movement, and their lives.
"I'm not standing here as just a fitness instructor. I'm standing here as someone who has been exactly where you are." ~ Rachel Evans
