Calm Body, Clear Mind: An Evening of MBSR & HeartMath
A community event at Wyncote Hub
Thursday, November 12 · 6:30 PM
Wyncote Hub · 116 Greenwood Ave, Wyncote, PA
Most of us know when we’re stressed. Calming our bodies in the moment is the hard part.
Join us for an evening with Kim Cermak to explore two well-established, non-pharmaceutical tools for better mental and physical health.
For wellness practitioners: therapists, nurses, coaches, counselors, and anyone who supports others, you will find practical insights into science-backed methodologies to add to your clients' toolkits. It’s also a great chance to meet other practitioners in the area and tour Wyncote Hub’s practice rooms, which are available by the hour, half day, or full day.
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a structured, evidence-based program that teaches you to notice stress, anxiety, and racing thoughts as they happen, so you can respond instead of react.
HeartMath uses simple breathing and heart-focused techniques, backed by heart rate variability (HRV) biofeedback, to help you shift into a calmer, steadier state in just a few minutes.
You’ll leave with:
A clear picture of how MBSR and HeartMath work and who they help
Time for questions and conversation with Kim
About Kim: Kim trained to teach MBSR at the Myrna Brind Center for Mindfulness at Thomas Jefferson University and holds a HeartMath Clinical Certification for Stress, Anxiety, and Emotional Management. She teaches mindfulness in medical, wellness, and corporate settings and is also a certified yoga instructor.
Light refreshments will be served. Space is limited, so message us to RSVP!
