Calm and Confident Baby Workshops
About this Event
Calm & Confident Baby Care Workshop
A practical, hands-on baby care workshop for expectant parents, led by an experienced Registered Midwife.
Preparing for your baby's arrival can feel exciting, overwhelming and full of questions. This relaxed and supportive workshop is designed to help you feel confident caring for your newborn before they arrive.
Unlike traditional antenatal classes, this workshop is completely practical. You'll have your own baby doll and equipment to practise essential newborn care skills in a friendly, small-group environment, giving you the opportunity to build confidence before your baby is here.
Whether you're expecting your first baby or simply want a refresher, you'll leave feeling more prepared and reassured.
During the workshop you'll learn:
👶 Holding and handling your baby safely
🛁 Bathing your baby with confidence
🧷 Nappy changing and umbilical cord care
👕 Dressing your baby and understanding temperature regulation
🍼 How to safely prepare a formula feed
😴 Safe sleeping and reducing the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)
❤️ Practical ways to comfort and soothe your baby
🚨 Recognising the signs that a newborn may be unwell and when to seek medical advice
