Learn all about painting flowers in acrylics as a medium for nature-inspired art!
About the Course:
If you’ve never tried painting flowers in acrylics, but love the effect of big, eye-catching florals, this is the course for you. In this class you will learn to paint a large acrylic of callistemons. You will be guided through the process of using acrylic paints step by step and by the end of the course, you will have a completed painting as well as the skills to undertake your own, original compositions.
Dates: 24 July - 7 August 2024
Times: Wednesdays, 6.00pm - 8.30pm
Location: NatureArt Lab, M16 Artspace, 21 Blaxland Crescent, Griffith
Learning Outcomes:
Knowledge and understanding of acrylic paints and how to use them
An understanding of the steps required to produce a floral acrylic painting.
Demonstrated understanding of how to approach and develop a large-format acrylic painting.
Level of experience
Suitable for students from beginners through to intermediate students who wish to develop their painting and composition skills.
Pre-requisites: This course is suitable for 16+ beginners with little to no drawing experience, or for those wishing to build on the foundations of their drawing using the taught techniques.
