About this Event

The FREE six-week in-person summer camp program will introduce high school students (ages 14–18) to data, science, technology, engineering, agriculture, architecture, and math. This immersive camp will provide hands-on experiences with college-level tools, social approaches, and analytical techniques surrounding Science, Tech, Engineering, Agriculture, Architecture & Math (STEAAM).

Since the summer camp's inception, UDC-CAUSES and Data Science Camp Inc. have served communities in the district by leading discussions on cybersecurity, agricultural technology, energy, food insecurity, world hunger, geospatial mapping, and urban sustainability.

This year, the college and its partners focus on delivering project-based and team-focused experiences that encompass field trips, access to state-of-the-art technologies, and creative design initiatives. Participants will obtain transferrable skills; peer collaboration, networking, and college readiness to name a few that will be useful in their education and life journeys.

Data STEAAM Summer Camp Details:

Dates: June 29, 2026 - August 7, 2026

  • Times: Monday – Friday, 9 am- 2 pm

Location: UDC Van Ness Campus, 4250 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington, D.C.

Who Should Attend?

  • High school students ages 14-18 seeking college-level exposure
  • D.C. students interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, Agriculture, Architecture, and Math

Data STEAAM Camp Benefits:

This Eventbrite listing is for interest and inquiries only. A separate application is required for acceptance into the camp. Submitting your information here does not guarantee enrollment.

Participants must obtain transportation to and from the UDC Van Ness campus each day.

All participants are required to complete and submit their Data STEAAM Camp welcome packet which will include a liability waiver, permission forms for the field trips, a photo release, and acknowledgement of camp rules and guidelines. We will go over this packet during the mandatory virtual orientation. The date for this orientation will be announced.

All participants are required to submit a signed photo waiver. Please submit an electronic version (preferred) or bring the signed copy with you on the first day of camp.
