Here it is, every Burgundy lover's dream: To catch a rising star, before the price explodes and the wines become highly allocated. But even better with this rising star, we have an exploration of her Burgundy wines, across multiple vintages! This tasting is truly not to be missed. We here at Waterford have represented Domaine Berthelemot for almost all of its existence. This being Burgundy, it is both a young and old domaine. Young, because it was formed quite recently by one woman, Brigitte Berthelemot. Old, because it is the combination of her family’s legacy estate and two other estates for which they farmed. As such, we believe this is a very much an under-the-radar Burgundy estate that in a few years will become highly allocated. Right now, the prices remain exceptional!
While we’ve represented them for quite some time, we have yet to put on a full-scale tasting (due to small crop vintages) until now. Now with the coming vintages, we have enough wines to put on a rather darn fine tasting. Brigette’s wines may need an introduction, but not for long. So come, taste, and enjoy - before the word gets out!
