Calligraphy Workshop at Michigan Central Station

Join us for an immersive workshop that invites you to explore the ancient art of calligraphy.

Facilitated by our friend Skyler Do, and in collaboration with Detroit Asian Collective, participants will be guided through the history and basics of the art of calligraphy.

You will receive a hands-on demo and all the supplies needed to make your first brushstrokes - OR brush up on your skills! (See what we did there?)

What to expect: We will be setting up our 20 person communal table for you to create, learn & (we hope) make some new meaningful connections. Leave with your practice pages and any finished pieces that you create throughout. In addition to your finished pieces, we hope you'll leave this experience with new knowledge, new friends & a new skill to honor, practice & share. Did we mention there will be tea???

No prior experience is necessary.
