Unique Fusion of Eastern and Western Calligraphy
Haji Noor Deen Mi Guang Jiang is a renowned master of Arabic calligraphy. Born in 1963 in Shangdong province, China, he brings an immense learning in traditional thought and Islamic art to a modern audience, juxtaposing them in a new calligraphic style all his own, both Eastern and Western.

Info: This family-friendly event is with a visual journey through the 1000-year legacy of the Wei Muslims in China, intertwined with a captivating demonstration of Arabic Calligraphy in the Chinese Style, A power point presentation with discussion on the 1000-year history of Muslim art in China, and a demonstration of ACCS, with audience participation. Haji Noor Deen is an internationally acclaimed Master calligrapher who creates graceful works of art that are stunning and inspirational. Haji Noor is the first Chinese Muslim to be conferred Certification of Arabic Calligraphy in Egypt and Certification by Master Calligrapher Hasan Celebi in Turkey. He will demonstrate how he uniquely fuses Arabic and Chinese script into the Sini style of Islamic Calligraphy.
