Call to Artists“Proclaimed Freedoms” - Exhibition Dates: June 15 – August 8, 2026
Opening Reception: Sat, July 11 | 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
NHS-G66 invites artists to submit work for our upcoming exhibition, Proclaimed Freedoms, celebrating Diversity, Inclusivity, and PRIDE. We are seeking artwork that embodies the empowerment of individuals through the recognition and appreciation of differences — including age, gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation, education, national origin, and more.
Who Can Apply
Gallery 66 welcomes submissions from both emerging and established artists working in all mediums, including but not limited to:
• Painting, Sculpture, Photography, Mixed Media and Digital Art
Submission Guidelines -Deadline for Submissions: 12:00 PM, June 8, 2026
How to Submit: Email your materials to [email protected] with the subject line:
“Proclaimed Freedoms – [Your Name]”
Artists may submit up to 3 works for consideration. All artwork must relate to the exhibition theme and meet the following criteria:
• Size Limits:
o Wall-hung work: Max 30" W x 30" H and Sculpture: Max 18" H
• Images: High-resolution JPEG or PNG files (300 dpi minimum)
• Information Required:
o Title, dimensions, medium, and price and special installation instructions, if applicable
• Artist Statement: 200 words describing how your work connects to the theme
• Short Bio: 150 words and Contact Information
Important Dates
• Submission Deadline: Monday, June 8 by 12:00 PM
• Notification of Acceptance: Tuesday, June 9 via email
• Artwork Drop-Off: Fri, June 12 | 4:00 – 6:00 P & Sat, June 13 | 10:00 A – 12:00 P
• Exhibition Dates: June 15 – August 8, 2025
• Opening Reception: Saturday, July 11 | 4:00 – 6:00 PM
Additional Information
• All accepted artwork must be presentation ready (wired or prepared for secure display).
• Entry Fee: $25 (payable at artwork drop-off; $5 for each additional accepted artwork
• Sales: A 20% commission will be retained by Gallery 66 for any works sold
• Delivery/Pickup: Artists are responsible for delivering and retrieving their work to/from Gallery 66 at: 66 W Main Street, New Britain, CT 06051
