🎨 Feminist Art Action – International Women's Day 2025 at Hosier Lane
📅 Date: Friday, 8th March 2025
📍 Location: Hosier Lane, Naarm/Melbourne

**About the Event:**
Join us for the 8th year of feminist art action in Hosier Lane for **International Women's Day!** Each year, a diverse crew of artists, families, and allies gather to install feminist artworks in this iconic Melbourne laneway, fostering intersectional artistic intervention through teamwork, support, and solidarity.
Our goal is to create a safe, intersectional, and decolonised space where everyone can freely express themselves and showcase their artwork.
Who Can Participate?
🎨 This event is open to **cis and trans women, as well as non-binary individuals** who are comfortable engaging in feminist art interventions. While the focus may at times centre on the experiences of women, it is not limited to that perspective.
🌞 Allies, partners, families, kids, and friends are encouraged to come along and support! If you’d like to volunteer on the day, please reach out.
Accessibility & COVID Safety:
😷 As this is a public event, we encourage mask-wearing and other precautions to keep everyone safe. If you need assistance installing your work or setting up, let us know!
⚠️ Please note that Hosier Lane has an uneven bluestone surface and can be difficult for wheelchair users. If you’d like to contribute artwork but cannot attend in person, we’re happy to assist with installation.
🔥 We are planning an *additional install day* however this depends on numbers and availability of an experienced artist or moderator to lead the group. Please reach out if you'd prefer to install after hours/another day and need support.
