Join us for an Introduction to playing English Country Dance music. Play with experienced musicians, learn a few tunes, dance, and see how it all works! It’s an opportunity to expand your musical horizons and meet some of the most experienced English Country Dance musicians in the Twin Cities.
The English Country Dance community wants to create more opportunities for dancing to live music. If you enjoy playing beautiful music, playing in a small ensemble, harmonizing & improvising, come find out if you would enjoy playing.English country dancing is a social dance form going back several centuries. The music can be stately or spritely, traditional or modern, and often draws from classical composers. At Tapestry Folkdance Center, we dance on Sunday nights from 7-9pm with live music once a month. Musicians are paid.
