On Saturday February 22 there will be a meeting at the garden at the Rec Center for anyone interested in helping out in our community gardens. We are doing good things, but we could do more and better with your help.Some of the things we are looking for help with are:
• Added hands for regularly scheduled workdays.
• Expanding the team that cares for the demonstration beds - tasks include starting seedlings, planting, watering, weeding, harvesting, and delivering harvest to Good Sams Food Pantry.
• Garden helpers for the Rec Center's Playground Days program
• People to call on for small construction jobs.
• Caretakers for the Rec Garden's Sensory Garden.
• People who can assist new gardeners.
• People who can harvest plots when someone is away and requests it.
• Extra gratitude if someone takes on communications.
There's a lot of ways volunteers can help!
