CALL FOR ART: Artworks in a predominantly white palette for the January exhibit at HIVE artspace in York, PA.Submission Period: December 1 through December 15 (by midnight).
Exhibit dates: January 3-25, 2025.
For January we are challenging artists to work in a predominantly white palette in their medium of choice, with only tiny accents of color, if any (no more than 10%). This is a really fun challenge as there are a myriad of white tones to work with - just visit the paint section of your local hardware store for inspiration. You can also search "white on white artwork" for more inspiration. Pinterest has tons of examples. All mediums are welcome for submission.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
There is no fee to submit artwork for consideration. Submitting artwork does not guarantee acceptance into the exhibit. All artists will receive notification the week after the submission deadline, whether their artwork was selected or not.
SUBMISSION NOTES:
• Up to 3 submissions allowed. See important note below regarding submission images.
• There is no fee to submit, but there is a $5 exhibit fee for accepted artists ($5 total regardless of number of artworks accepted.)
• Gallery Commission is 35% on artworks sold. (Note new rate starting in 2025!)
• Final artwork must be wired/ready-to-hang/display.

TO SUBMIT (please read carefully):
Please send ONE E-MAIL with subject line "WHITE2025" to [email protected] with the following items:
• Up to 3 submission images in low-resolution (NO LARGER THAN 3MB) jpeg or png format. Images must clearly represent the work, as these images will be used in the accompanying on-line gallery. Watch for glare / background clutter. Photographing them against a white or solid colored wall is best for our use. Indirect natural light will give you the truest colors and nicest lighting for your images. Please get them as "squared" in the frame as possible.
• Info for each submission:
- Title
- Your name (City, State)
- Medium
- Size unframed / size framed (as applicable)
- Price
• Any time constraints you may have, i.e. shipping, printing, framing time needed, etc.
• Link to more of your artwork on-line (optional, but highly recommended).
• Any other places in York, PA where you will have work on display during the exhibit timeframe.

IMPORTANT DATES:
• Deadline for submissions: December 15 by midnight.
• Drop-off for accepted artwork: December 22, 2024.
• Exhibit Opens: First Friday January 3, 5-9pm.
• Exhibit dates: January 3-25, 2025.
• End of show artwork pick-up: January 26.
