Call for Art: Giftable Art & Hand-Crafted Gift Items under $100 for the December exhibit at HIVE artspace.
Submission Period: November 1 - November 15 (by midnight).
Exhibit dates: December 4 - December 24, 2026
For December, HIVE artspace will be transforming into a wonderland of fabulous, fun, funky giftable art and hand-crafted gift items ranging anywhere from $3 to $100 for our Holiday Bzzzaar gift-buying show in December! If you are familiar with us, you know we have a big love for fun, weird, quirky, and spooky art - yes, even during the gifting season (Krampus items welcomed!) - as well as more traditional styles of artwork. This is an open theme, meaning items DO NOT need to be holiday-themed (although they can be), all mediums are welcome for submission, including ornaments.
There is no fee to submit artwork for consideration. Submitting artwork does not guarantee acceptance into the exhibit.
SUBMISSION NOTES:
• Up to 3 submissions allowed, or groupings of similar giftable items. See important note below regarding submission images.
• There is no fee to submit, but there is a $5 exhibit fee for accepted artists ($5 total regardless of number of artworks accepted.)
• Gallery Commission is 35% on artworks sold.
• Final artwork must be wired or otherwise ready-to-hang/display.

NOTE: IF YOU ARE MISSING ANY OF THIS INFORMATION YOUR SUBMISSION WILL BE RETURNED.
• Up to 3 submissions in jpeg or png format no larger than 3MB each. All other formats will be rejected by our system.
- If you have multiple items in the same category (i.e. jewelry, ornaments, etc) you can submit a group image to count as one of your submissions.
- Images must clearly represent the work, as these images will be used in the accompanying on-line gallery. Watch for glare / background clutter, photographing them against a white or solid colored wall is best for our use. Indirect natural light will give you the truest colors and nicest lighting for your images. Please get them as "square" in the frame as possible.

- Title
- Your Name + City & State
- Medium
- Size unframed / size framed (if applicable)
- Price
• Do you have any time constraints? (i.e. shipping, printing, or framing time needed - if not, put "No time constraints.")
• Please note any other places in York, PA where you will have work on display during the exhibit timeframe.
• Link to more of your artwork on-line (optional, but highly recommended).

IMPORTANT DATES:

• Drop-off for accepted artwork: Sunday, November 28-29.
• Exhibit Opens: First Friday December 4, from 5-9.
• Exhibit Dates: December 4-24, 2026.
• End of show artwork pick-up: Saturday, December 26.
