Our timed 5K run/walk takes place on the south side of Crown Point Park in San Diego on Mission Bay. Enjoy the course along the bay on the bay side walkway. Free Parking. Relax after the 5K and enjoy: refreshments - custom made to order ACAI bowl by Alohana Acai Bowls, face painting, and vendors. Fun for all while supporting a great cause - research!
There will also be a Social Reunion & Dinner on Friday, September 11th from 5pm-9pm at the Marina Village Conference Center, 1936 Quivira Way, San Diego, California. We are honored to have Dr. Stan Henkin from the Mayo Clinic join us for the SCAD Social Reunion. Dr. Henkin will present the latest research findings on Friday evening and answer questions as time permits.
Spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD) is a poorly understood cause of a heart attack that impacts especially women. It is the #1 cause of heart attacks in women under age 50, new moms and pregnant women. Though less common, SCAD can impact men too.
