This in-person course is a required component of the 16-hour training mandate for all new California PSO license holders.
About this Event

Course Description
This five-hour course satisfies the California BSIS requirement for Appropriate Use of Force training, now a mandatory in-person component for all new Proprietary Security Officers (PSOs) under updated state regulations.

Topics Include: Understanding Liability, Appropriate Use of Force, Duty to Intercede, Powers to Arrest Review, Supervision Response, Communication Skills & Techniques, Hospitality & Conflict Resolution, Proactive Approaches, Use of Force Continuum, and Role Play Scenarios.

In addition to meeting the initial 5 hour in-person licensing requirement, this course also qualifies as five of the eight hours of annual continuing training required for active PSOs.

Each participant will receive a digital certificate of completion, which can be saved for personal records and easily shared across social media platforms to highlight skills and support career advancement opportunities.
