When: Tuesday, November 17th, 2026 (Discussion 7:00 PM | Open Mic 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM)
Where: Gravity Cafe, 909 10 St. SE, Calgary, AB (Inglewood)
Once again, the 3rd Tuesday of the month is upon us, which means it's time to learn something new and connect with up-and-coming and established songwriters and artists alike at Canada's largest independent songwriters' group: The Calgary Songsmiths! Join us at Calgary's best-kept secret for original music!
Topic (7:00 PM): The Calgary Songsmiths are excited to welcome Calgary-based blues artist and radio personality, Erin Ross. A fixture of Alberta’s roots community, Erin is a powerhouse guitarist, songwriter, and beloved CKUA host of The Departure Lounge. Fresh off winning Blues Recording of the Year at the 2024 YYC Music Awards for The Wind Will Lead Me Home, she brings a rare, inside perspective on what makes great music resonate—both on stage and over the airwaves. We’ll talk about her career, her journey behind the mic, and what it really takes to land your music on CKUA, Canada’s largest independent radio network.
Homework (optional):
In November, we remember...write a song about your greatest memory...or remembering for some sweet Songsmith points!
See you on the 17th!
