Calgary Shooting School - Phase 2 - Ages 11-15 Mar 2024

TUESDAY Nights - 6:30pm-7:30pm - March 12th - April 30th, 2024.

In order to develop as shooters, young players need consistent deliberate practice. NBA Shooting Coach Dave Love has created the program and trained the coaches to help young shooters develop into GREAT shooters.

The Shooting School will be in 3 phases.

Phase TWO, our DEVELOPMENT phase, will be comprised of drills that Coach Love uses with his NBA players to help players build on the habits they learned in Phase 1. Phase 1 must be completed, and CDL Coaches must have recommended you for Phase 2 in order to participate.

This is a key phase in a players development. The reason most players struggle to make significant improvement in their shooting is because expect their new habits to transfer into game situations, rather than forcing the habits to apply.

Later phases will help players begin to apply them into GAME situations. This is the same process Coach Love uses with NBA players and youth group around the world.

Players will need to achieve a level of competency in their new habits by the end of the program to graduate to later phases. Should the player stay in the shooting school for extended periods of time, they may be encouaged to go back to Phase One at different times in order to refine certain habits as they grow. This is not a negative, but rather the process of becoming ELITE.

The curriculum of The Shooting School is designed so that while players may be doing the same DRILLS, they are each focused on their individual habits. And the coaching ratio will be such that players get a lot of individual attention.

PLEASE NOTE: COACH LOVE WILL NOT BE A COACH AT THESE SESSIONS, but all coaches will be trained by Coach Love.
