We're excited to announce a Canon Creator Lab x Socality creative experience at the Calgary Central Library in collaboration with The Camera Store. Join us on the morning of December 1st where you'll have the opportunity to connect and create with the local Calgary community. This private event will offer a unique opportunity to explore, capture, and create within this architectural masterpiece during sunrise. Light snacks and coffee will be provided.

Attendees will have access to Canon gear through the Canon Creator Lab program, with a variety of mirrorless bodies and the latest lenses available for trial. Gear is available to reserve in advance using our booking system. Follow the link in your ticket confirmation email to make a gear reservation. A limited amount of gear will also be available for walk up booking on a first come, first serve basis.

Join us for a morning of creativity, networking, and skill-building in an inclusive environment that welcomes creatives of all levels and disciplines.

Whether your interest lies in photography, video, social media, design, or another creative discipline, these events are inclusive and open to everyone, regardless if you’re just starting out on your creative journey or have been in the industry for years.

Free 1 Hour Intro to Photography Workshop

Creatively inclined and looking to learn the fundamentals and take your photography skills to the next level? Join us for a free “Intro to Photography” Workshop on-site during the event.

This beginner-friendly session is perfect for anyone who wants to explore the essentials, whether you’re new to cameras or mainly shoot with a smartphone.

In this 1-hour workshop, you’ll learn key photography fundamentals like camera settings (aperture, ISO, shutter speed), composition, and other basic techniques. Guided by an experienced instructor, you’ll gain hands-on experience and practical knowledge in a unique, scenic environment.

All attendees will have the chance to use an entry-level Canon camera during the session, making it a great opportunity to experiment and build confidence behind the lens.

The workshop takes place during the first hour of the event, and space is limited.
