We are excited to invite you to join By Design’s Calgary area families and facilitators for a Welcome Back Picnic! Let’s get together and celebrate the beginning of another homeschooling year. Join us for a day filled with fun, laughter, and good company. We look forward to reconnecting with our returning families and meeting those of you joining us for the first time. Feel free to invite your friends. All are welcome!

Location: Edworthy Park- Inclusive Playground area by the south parking lot
South Access: 5050 Spruce Dr. SW (Bow Trail & Spruce Dr. SW)
North Access: Shaganappi Trail & 16th Avenue

Edworthy Park has a large new Inclusive Playground, several smaller playgrounds, beautiful green spaces, washroom facilities, walking paths, outdoor gym machinery, and a river to explore. It's a great spot for kids and parents to kick back, unwind, and connect with other homeschooling families. We will meet at the large Inclusive Playground next to the south parking lot, which is accessible off Spruce Drive SW. You can also park on the north side of the river, near Angel’s Cafe, and make the short walk across the bridge and down the path to the Inclusive Playground.

We encourage you to bring your own lawn chairs, sunscreen, a picnic lunch, and anything else you might need to make your experience comfortable and enjoyable. By Design will be providing some light snacks and water/beverages. This event is a wonderful opportunity to meet new friends, mingle with other homeschoolers, share experiences, and build lasting connections within our community. We're looking forward to seeing you there!
