The multi-award-winning Rhyl Liberty Players are excited to announce their next production as the original stage adaptation of Tim Firth’s award-winning hit comedy film Calendar Girls. The poignant, funny and heart-warming play, based on the much-loved film starring Julie Walters and Helen Mirren, was inspired by the real-life story of the Women’s Institute branch in Rylstone, Yorkshire who posed for a cheeky but tasteful nude calendar to raise funds for Leukaemia.In 2022 we celebrate our 80th anniversary, and we’re delighted to celebrate by welcoming our regular audiences and new supporters back for this popular comedy. It’s the perfect play to fill the theatre with laughter, tears and the warm feeling of community only great Theatre can bring. We’re very excited to be back in the Little Theatre, which has been undergoing a major refurb and we know our audiences will love the improvements.
