Calaveritas are miniature skeleton figures that reenact scenes from daily life. In the Mexican celebration of Día de Muertos, they often appear on the ofrenda, or altar, representing deceased relatives and the things they liked to do. In this workshop, participants will learn about Día de Muertos, receive a curator-led tour of the Lam’s annual exhibit, and see calaveritas from the Museum’s collection. Participants will make their own calaveritas using wooden artists’ models. This workshop is designed for ages 8 to 99. The fee is $20 per participant ($15 for Lam Museum members). Space is limited and advanced registration is required. Register today! https://wfu.universitytickets.com/w/event.aspx?id=1528
