MOODWALK is the stage name of artist & producer Jonathan Harris. Following a national tour with his former band Animal Sun - the last chapter of a 6-year-long project, Jonathan moved to Richmond, Va to pursue writing and producing his own music (and totally not because of a girl). Fueled by nostalgia, heartbreak and a visceral sense of yearning and questioning, he created the moniker MOODWALK and set out on a solo endeavor that aims to give his listeners a shoulder to cry on, but with a high energy twist that ebbs and flows between states of danceable electropop moments, anthemic alt rock euphoria, and more recently, even dipping into the familiar bouncy angst of 2000’s pop-punk and grunge. MOODWALK continues to push boundaries with his cinematic indie/alternative EP "Wake Me Up" - with the title track featuring electric violin solos, lyrical play a la The 1975, and heavy electronic elements reminiscent of timeless pop edm tracks from the likes of the Chainsmokers and Porter Robinson. Throughout the EP, listeners may catch onto some of the notable influences such as The Killers, CHVRCHES, Dagny, Coldplay, Vicetone, LANY, Switchfoot and other favorites of his. The result is a melodramatic, unique blend of indie-tronic, alternative pop and melodic bass - all tied up in a bow with a sprinkle of edgier rock elements and orchestral soundscapes that pay homage to his musical roots.
