Cal Alumni Association Night @ Waymo
About this Event
About the event
Waymo's robotaxis are now on the road in multiple U.S. cities. At the same time, federal regulators are working on the first formal safety standards for autonomous vehicles, and state and local governments are moving at very different speeds to set their own rules.
This creates big questions for the industry: How do companies like Waymo navigate that patchwork, and how does it earn trust in each new market it enters?
Join us on September 10 for a panel discussion with Annabel R. Chang, Waymo's Director of U.S. State and Local Public Policy and Political Campaigns, and Darek DeFreece, Founding Executive Director of the Berkeley Air & Space Center, moderated by John Clamme, Executive Director and CEO of the Cal Alumni Association.
Come hear how driverless cars go from prototype to public streets, and what that means for the cities they arrive in.
