FREEIt’s clear that she doesn’t know, so for the love of bebop and swing please don’t tell Caity Gyorgy that laurels can be rested on! Her debut took home Vocal Jazz Album of the Year at the 2022 JUNOs, and she’s already followed up with a new album…and another JUNO win at 2023’s ceremonies! She’s lent her warm voice and splendid phrasing to work with Christine Jensen, Jocelyn Gould, and Postmodern Jukebox, and won the 2021 John Lennon Songwriting Contest (jazz category) for her Great American Songbook-informed tune “Secret Safe”. As WholeNote understated, Caity Gyorgy is “high up the list of young singers to watch.”
