Cairns Seagrass Restoration – Week 3, Day 4

Be part of north Queensland’s seagrass restoration!
If you are keen to support seagrass restoration, learn some new skills, and meet like-minded people, this event is for you! Volunteering is a great way to help restore seagrass meadows that have been adversely affected across the Cairns region.
Our activities are fun and family-friendly, creating a relaxed environment where all are welcome.
What to bring
- Enclosed shoes.
- Sun-safe clothing, sunscreen and a hat.
- Insect repellent.
- Drinking water, snacks and/or lunch.

This project is led by JCU TropWATER, under funding through the BHP Blue Carbon Grants program, in partnership with Traditional Owner groups, including Mandubarra, Gimuy Walubara Yidinji, Goondoi, and Yirrganydji. The project is also supported by OzFish Unlimited, Great Barrier Reef Foundation, and BCF – Boating, Camping, Fishing.
