Curated by Cairns Choral Society Inc., an unforgettable night of song, music and dance. Talented singers, musicians and dancers bring you the GALA SPECTACULAR 2024 - A SALUTE TO SONDHEIM. This variety concert will be presented on the main stage of the Cairns Performing Arts Centre for one night only.This exciting event features the award-winning Cairns Choral Society Choir, stunning vocal ensembles and brass band champions - Cairns Brass. The talented local dancers from the FNQ Dance Academy and Turning Pointe Dance Studios will also grace the stage in captivating dance troupes which will complement the beautiful music from the choir.
Cairns Young Voices will feature with engaging performances. You will also be captivated by some amazing instrumentalists and highly entertaining soloists.
Enjoy the glorious music by Stephen Sondheim, who is regarded by many as one of the most important figures in 20th-century musical theatre. The evening will culminate in the combined powerful forces of the Cairns Choral Society Choir and Cairns Brass.
