Their neo-grunge punk hybrid sound has drawn parallels to bands like Queens of the Stone Age, Nirvana and Royal Blood.
Led by guitarist/vocalist Tyler Kemmerling, whose music has been heavily influenced by the Foo Fighters, Nirvana, My Bloody Valentine and Smashing Pumpkins, Caged Affair delivers music written with a sense of both despair and whit, a counterculture look at modern day society. “Falling into Madness,” a recently released single, vividly illustrates youths’ disillusionment with the fading American dream.
Since March 2023 Caged Affair has released four singles, including “Tell Me I’m Wrong”, which received regional radio airplay. Their new “Grass Fed” EP with six additional songs was released December 21, 2023. Songs from the EP have been added to dozens of playlists by professional curators and played on streaming radio stations and podcasts in the US, Canada, Australia, Germany, Brazil, Italy and the UK. Positive reviews have been shared by Music News Monthly (UK), Click Boom Roll (UK), Brainstorming Magazine (Italy) and HEAVY Magazine (Australia).
Over the past six months, Caged Affair has played shows across the Southeastern US including an opening show for Big Wreck at The Underground (@theFillmore) in Charlotte NC. Additional shows are being booked for the Southeast, and plans are underway for shows in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern US during mid-2024.
