Friday August 12th, we have Espresso Gypsy Jazz. EGJ is a Colorado favorite, French Gypsy Jazz band featuring the musical genius of Django Reinhardt as well as the French romantic classics and the American Songbook and swing.
Espresso! Gypsy Jazz includes some of the 'Best in the West' with Bill Pontarelli on both tasty clarinet leads and vocals. Jordan Ramsey, National Mandolin Champion, is a super force on mandolin and vocals. Chanteuse Emily Reynolds shines on rhythm guitar and vocals. Rounding out the saucy sound is the exceptional Duane Webster, holding down the bottom end on stand-up bass and vocals.
To quote Ms Reynolds, “We have played this music for years and love keeping the tradition of American swing music and Gypsy jazz alive.” This band is really fun and nothing fits the Euro-cafe jazz supper club scene better than French swing!
