About this event

Welcome to our relaxed FREE online cafe session for families in Luton who have children and young people (0-25years) with SEND.

We are hosting a FREE relaxed online space for you to meet with other parents and carers who might be in a similar situation ; share ideas for activities and support; introduce guest speakers who work within Education, Social, health and Community Services.

We welcome families of children and young people (0-25) with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities living within Luton.

The aim of our online cafe sessions is to reach parent carers, support them to connect with other parent carers and offer each other support by sharing thoughts and experiences. This is friendly and welcoming space and we ask that everyone who attends are respectful to one another.

Please note- this online event is only for those who are residents of Luton .

The online session will be carried out on Microsoft teams. We will send you the details to join for this session the day before .

About Luton Carer Parent Voice

We are parent carers who collect the independent voice of local families in the Borough of Luton. We aim to play a lead role in shaping how services are designed, delivered and promoted.

We welcome families of children with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND 0-25). The forum is open to parent carers, family members, guardians and foster parents of children and young people who have Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (no diagnosis needed). If you live in the Borough of Luton or access services from education, health or social care in Luton we would love you to join us. We feel passionately that you should have a voice.

We will work with those that provide education, health and social care services to give feedback from local families. We will do this by providing lots of opportunities for families to have their voices heard and views shared.
