We will have each author's books available at the event for guests to purchase!
If you are unable to attend the event after purchasing a ticket, you are required to pick up your copy of the book or gift card (with proof of purchase from your event registration) within 7 days after the event date. If the book or gift card is not picked up by that date, you relinquish your copy or gift card to Tattered Cover Book Store.
ABOUT THE AUTHORS
is a former reporter for the Sacramento Bee and is a writer for University Communications at Sacramento State. Morita is a fourth-generation Asian American who lived in Hawaii as a child. She is an active member of Mystery Writers of America and the current president of her local chapter of Sisters in Crime. She was a finalist for the 2022 Eleanor Taylor Bland Crime Fiction Writers of Color Award. Ghosts of Waikīkī is her first novel.
Like her protagonist Mud, Rowell comes from a long line of Kiowa Storytellers. After a thirty-two-year career spinning stories for Silicon Valley startups and corporations with a few escapes creating award-winning independent documentaries, Rowell started a new chapter writing mysteries that share information about her Plains Indian tribe, the Kiowas. She enjoys life in California with her partner of thirty-seven years, their son and a feral gray cat.
is a writer and graphic designer from Madison, WI. When not writing, she spends her time hanging out with her husband and two sons, reading library books, walking her dog, subscribing to way too many streaming services, and working in science communication.
has lived and practiced law as a criminal defense attorney, prosecutor, and public defender in Appalachian Kentucky for over twenty-four years. He also helps run his family’s pizza shops.
is a prosecutor and an avid Sunday painter. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, son, and giant schnauzer.
