The evening will begin on Saturday 9/13 at 7:00pm with Chris Hedly and Scott McWhinney, who have performed a number of times at Interfaith as members of the bands PATH and DSM, and as a duo. Chris and Scott play melodically rich, original folk/soul music – acoustic guitar and harmonica blend with sweet vocal harmonies, hand crafted rhythms and upbeat music fun.
At 8:15pm, singer-songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist Dan Bilich will take the stage. Dan is very much looking forward to playing a set of his original songs as part of this special evening of music. Dan has performed at Interfaith many times over the years with the Spirit Singing Band and with Lori Fithian, amongst others. Dan has also played with several Ann Arbor bands such as the Lunar Glee Club, George Bedard and the Kingpins, Tracy Lee and the Leonards, Landfill, and Steve Osburn of Oz’s Music.
Dan says about his music: “Some wines are meant to be savored young. Others improve with age. So it is with songs – and perhaps even songwriters. I’ve been laying down songs for many decades now. At this concert we’ll taste some new songs, along with a few older things brought up from the cellar just for this occasion.”
On Saturday September 13th Dan will be onstage with an acoustic guitar witnessing and singing his original songs, and he’ll be joined by a few of his very musical friends on this special evening of creative musical interplay to benefit the Interfaith Center.
