Workshops
Workshop A: Building a Bridge – Exploring Inclusivity Through Non-Directive Play Therapy
Conducted by Marina Lim
Through this short workshop and a small angle of non-directive play therapy intervention, participants briefly explore how and what is needed to build bridge of inclusivity and build belief in themselves and the ones with special needs by being different.
Workshop B: Empowering Educators – Positive Interventions and Supports for Children with Special Needs
Conducted by Eulisia Er
During their growing up years, children with special needs go through various changes and transitions in their environment and may experience difficulties with adapting to their new life experiences. Apart from parents, consistent support from teachers and caregivers is important in developing their students’ basic skills, especially in communicating their needs, and providing a positive environment to develop their sense of independence. Therefore, the primary aim is to equip teachers and caregivers with skills to manage behavioural challenges of children with special needs.
